Top Tablet PCs

Tablets PCs is a portable multimedia device with lightweight design and compact dimensions. Most of tablet PCs models are flat-panel portable PCs with a slate form factor and
equipped with multi touch display. After Apple launched their iPad in 2010, tablets PCs quickly became mainstream in portable computing. In 2010, Apple sold almost 15 million iPads worldwide.

As compared to Laptops, tablet PCs are small, have a 7” to a 10” display screen and weigh less than 1 pound. Touchscreen gives full control over the screen and allow to navigate easily around the device. There is virtually no boot time on a tablet - press Sleep button and device will go to sleep using almost no power, then press the button again and it will turn on instantaneously. As regards battery life, tablet batteries are efficient and long lasting. Some models offer great battery life - 10 hours and more.

Do Tablet computers have actual cons? Yes, there is a small price for portability mentioned above.
Most of tablet PCs do not have physical keyboard. However this problem can be solved by buying
an external keyboard. The second drawback it that tablet PCs have limited support for ports.

Apple iPad 2 is an excellent product. Its easy-to-use interface, vast app catalog, and great battery life that makes it the king of tablets. However there is no ideal tablet device - Apple iPad screen resolution is not great,photo quality is average, it lacks support for polular ports (HDMI, USB, etc) and missing flash support.
Motorola Xoom - the Xoom tablet is featuring great performance, an efficient user interface and a good multimedia experience. Xoom can be good alternative to Apple iPad.
Acer Iconia Tab A500 - is a great, reasonably priced device, offering all the top of the line specs you've come to expect in a larger 10.1-inch chassis. However this model is relatively thick and heavy as compared to its competitors.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Samsung Galaxy Tab has same thin, iPad 2-like design and makes a strong competitor for Apple's tablets. The only disappointment is battery life when using 4G.

Tablets will be the future. They will be more and more advanced and eventually take over computers.
